First Birthday Party

Last weekend was Aaron's big birthday bash, and it was a great success!  We had approximately 50 people stop by our little condo to help celebrate our boy, and we could not be more touched by their love and support.  It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many friends and family members.

For starters, we had to make sure Aaron was dressed appropriately for the big day.

Daddy gave Aaron some advice about how to age gracefully...

...and Aaron immediately put that advice to use.

I baked a special cake just for Aaron, and we all sang Happy Birthday to him.  He wasn't sure what to do with the cake at first, but eventually he got the hang of it.  And I think it's safe to say that he enjoyed the attention.

Since Mommy couldn't bake a cake big enough for 50 people, we also ordered a second cake to make sure everyone got enough.
