Jillian. Beautiful as a flower and growing like a weed. This "little" girl is already in 9-month clothes and size 3 diapers. But the biggest thing about her is her smile. And now we're getting those awesome belly laughs that we love so much. Those are my favorite! We are also hearing "da" and "ba" in between squeals and squeaks (Chris is convinced that she has already said her first word: "dada"). She is trying to sit up, although she still topples over after a few seconds. She is also grabbing everything in sight and shoving it into her mouth, including my hair, Daddy's nose, and the cat's tail.
Aaron. His latest thing is to pull me toward him, saying, "Mommy, I want a hug." Once he realizes that he can get anything he wants by doing that, I am in trouble. He is also getting goofier and making us laugh a lot. He recently discovered that he can make me squeal and squirm by pretending he is about to give me a kiss and then licking me instead. And at dinner the other night, when Chris scolded him for trying to grab a knife by warning, "It's dangerous, Aaron," Aaron immediately quipped: "No you're dangerous Daddy!" I think Chris took it as a compliment. But my favorite development this month is his growing protectiveness over Jill. At music class last week, Aaron's friend Joseph tried to give Jill a hug and Aaron jumped in between them: "No! My Jill!" I love it. Future suitors, beware!
