The Demon Dash

Aaron completed his first 5K last week!  We both signed up to "run" the Demon Dash, which is a race that raises money for Golden High School.  I actually think he could have made it the whole way without walking if he hadn't set off at a dead sprint when the starting buzzer sounded.  He had his heart set on "beating the collegers" (and by that he meant the high school students who were also running the race).  But he didn't take into account the fact that the starting line was at the bottom of the hill and that he's never run a race before and that's he's seven! 

But even though we didn't win, we sure had a lot of fun.  Here's hoping that he ends up loving running as much as I do, and that maybe I'll have a small window of time where we might be able to run together before he gets faster and/or cooler than me.  (He's already cooler than me, he just doesn't know it yet.)
