Danny is Nine!

Danny is nine years old!  We celebrated his last single-digit party with a rite of passage for all elementary-aged boys...a party at Skyzone.  It's cliche, but man is it easy.  And when you have a big group of rambunctious boys, you can't put a price on having the party anywhere but your own house.  Oh, and it was fun too.

So. Much. Energy.

Black light pizza.

They didn't like it when I turned on the lights for the birthday song.

Ready to be serenaded.

This is how third grade boys sing the birthday song.

Now that's a sweet tooth.

After Skyzone, two of Danny's besties - Connor and Benjamin - stayed at the house for a (much quieter, and more manageable) sleepover.

On Danny's actual birthday, he had lacrosse practice.  His team surprised him by singing happy birthday and doing a cheer for him.

That night we showered him with presents (including an upsized mountain bike!)...

...and candles...

...and cake...

...and love.  And boy, do we ever love you buddy.  Happy birthday!
