Jill's Continuation

Wait, didn't we just do this??  How can we possibly have two middle schoolers??!  And yet, here we are.  Jill is officially done with 5th grade, and with Mitchell!

Moving up and out.

Pepper thinks she's moving on too.

Last time walking home with friends, last time making Dad carry her backpack...

...last time crossing the foot bridge as a Mitchell student.  A lot of lasts.

But also some firsts!

Definitely the first time Jill has been this happy to open a present.  We got a her a pinwheel phone -- not the same as an iPhone, but she didn't mind!

That evening, we went back to the school for her continuation ceremony.

It was Hawaiian-themed.

There is something so hopeful about children's voices united in song.

It's even better with ukuleles.

I know her!

Ready for middle school.

All smiles with her favorite teacher, Mr. Hallerburg.

Goodbye Mitchell, hello summer.

Then, it was off to the after-party.

Never stop dancing, sweet girl.  We are so proud of you!!!

Also, while it was less ceremonious than Jill's continuation, these boys also rocked their last days of school.

Our little soccer ball is now a 4th grader and the only kiddo left to represent the Broyles name at Mitchell.

And our seasoned middle schooler is now a 7th grader.  But first, summertime!
