Our girl is twelve years old! It's hard to put into words how much we love our Jill. She is all things at once. She is smart, funny, mischievous, kind, contrarian, resourceful, independent, empathetic, helpful, and oh-so-loved. Most of all, she is the Jilliest Jill there ever was. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

For her dinner menu, she chose Italian sausage pasta and arugula salad. Yum!
For dessert, we served angel food cake and a whole heap of presents.
They love her, whether they like it or not.

A few days after her actual birthday, Jill had a bunch of friends over for a party.
Middle school girls are such a snapshot in time. In so many ways, they remind you of little kids...
...while at the same time reminding you that they're not so little anymore.
Little or big, they sure do remind you to soak up every minute.
