This year, Danny's school offered the opportunity to participate in Destination Imagination -- a national, STEAM-focused program that holds tournaments and challenges throughout the year.
Danny's team took on the challenge of creating and presenting a game show incorporating various technical elements including a confetti cannon and a Swedish fish-launcher! They were one of the top teams at the Regional and State competitions, and actually qualified for the World Championship (which they declined because it was in Kansas City over Memorial Day weekend, which didn't sound that exciting). But man, what an accomplishment!
Danny was the host of the game show. He got to wear a sparkly jacket and pop out of a surprise box at the beginning of the presentation.
They even got a write-up in the school newsletter! D, we are so proud of you and your hard work. You've definitely earned the right to spent Memorial Day weekend somewhere more fun than Kansas City 😂
