Danny and Eloise Bailess have had crushes on each other for years. This year, Danny finally asked her to be his Valentine...and she said yes! What followed was a series of gifts back and forth (Danny thoughtfully picked out chocolates that were gluten free because Eloise has Celiac's; Eloise thoughtfully picked out some crazy socks with poop emojis because Danny is Danny), text conversations, and even an ice cream date!
The whole thing lasted about six weeks (which is a lifetime for a 5th grader) before Eloise decided she was too shy to have a boyfriend. But they still text and exchange gifts all the time so I haven't cancelled the deposit on that wedding venue just yet...
