Unofficial First Haircut

Jill has been growing a "rat tail" for quite some time now.  Not sure why this group of 8-10 hairs was so much longer.  My theory was that they were just stubborn newborn hairs that would eventually fall out like all the others.  Never happened.  So today, on her 10-month birthday, we finally decided to just snip off the tail.  We'd been resisting because we wanted her first haircut to be a bit more notable, but it was definitely time.  We'll just call this her unofficial first haircut.

Once Jill realized I was taking pictures, it was impossible to get her to turn around for an "after" shot.  But you can take my word for it that the rat tail is no more!
