First Day(s) of Preschool

Aaron and Jill started preschool this week!  Aaron's first day of Preschool-4 was yesterday, and Jill's first day of Preschool-3 was today.  Luckily, that meant I only had to make one sign.  Is preschool too early to learn about economies of scale?

Aaron was a little nervous about starting school again.  He wasn't too thrilled when he realized that his teacher from last year, the beloved Mrs. Stephens, would now be Jill's teacher.  But thankfully his best buddy Josie is in his class this year, so he was greeted by a familiar face on his first day.

He's an old hand at this school thing now.

So proud of my big boy!

As soon as he walked into his new classroom, he got right to work and forgot we were there.

Time for the kids to circle up and the parents to clear out.  Sniff sniff.

Today, Jill had absolutely no first-day-of-school jitters whatsoever.  All morning as we were getting ready, she kept saying, "Mommy, I want to leave for school right now!"  And when she got to school, she skipped right up to Mrs. Stephens, gave her a hug, and started chattering about her dress and her backpack.  Is this the same little girl who would scream to high heaven when we left her in church nursery?

Let's get this show on the road!

Gettin' some love from her bros on her big day!

Can't believe my baby girl is starting preschool!

So proud to have her very own locker!

Too engrossed to give Mom a goodbye kiss.

It is certainly bittersweet to watch our babies go off to school.  We will miss having Aaron and Jill around as much, but it's so great to know that they are in such good hands.  One thing's for sure, Danny isn't going to know what to do with all the extra attention he'll be getting!
