Eliza's Baptism

A few weeks ago, we all got together at Oma and Opa's lake for the baptism of sweet little cousin Eliza.  It was a really wonderful day.  The kids had so much fun fishing, swinging, digging in the sandbox, playing with their cousin, and hunting for snakes, frogs and turtles that the day flew by.  They didn't even have time to swim!  We ended up staying much later than we planned and getting back to Chicago way after bedtime.  But it was worth it.  What a great way to celebrate Eliza and to say goodbye to summer!

This little pumpkin was the reason for the season.  We love her so much!!!

Although the baptism was the highlight, the day was filled with fun activities.  Never a dull moment at the lake!

The new sandbox was a big hit.

That snake got a lot of love.

Caught a lot of fish from the dock with the worms and snails that the kids found in the dirt.

Hammock time is the best.

Especially when there's a cute baby involved.

But hammocks can be a bit precarious.

We spent a lot of time loving on our Lizzie girl.

And loving on her more.

She sure is loved by a lot of people.

This group of grandkids keeps growing!

At the end of the day, the kids were so reluctant to leave that we had to literally drag them to the car.  We love you, Eliza!  Thanks for giving us an excuse to celebrate and we look forward to celebrating you in all the days to come!
