Lordy Lordy...

...Daddy is forty!  To celebrate this milestone birthday, Mommy and Daddy took a brief, kid-free trip to the beautiful island of Santorini.  Thankfully, Oma was generous enough to stay with the kids while we were away.  So that meant that the kids were in good hands and got to do fun things like this:

Ok, Chris and I may have gotten the better end of the deal here.  But the kids were really excited about the souvenirs we brought home for them, including Greek "evil eye" keychains and authentic lava rocks plucked directly from the side of the caldera! 

And of course we still celebrated Daddy's big birthday together as a family, this time with cake and ice cream instead of tomatoes and feta:
