To paraphrase Shakespeare, a Pepper by any other name would smell as...stinky? And we do call her by many names and nicknames. Turns out, there are countless ways to distort the name Pepper...some great, some terrible. She's not picky so she answers to all of them, including Pep, Peps, Pepsi, Pepsi-Cola, Poopy, Pooper, Poops, Peeper, Peeps, Pepperoni, Pepperonski, and my personal favorite...Floopy or "The Floops." Don't ask me why.
We've had her for almost six months now, but it feels like much longer. It's amazing to look back and see how much she has changed since she joined our family! It's also pretty cool to see how quickly she became an integral part of our lives, and how much the kids adore her.
When she was a teeny Floop, she liked to pretend she was "sleeping" on our shoes, and then start nibbling them when we look away. Now, we've learned our lesson and gated off the mudroom.
Her favorite toy: roadkill.
Floopy snuggles.
Solidarity.
Snowpepper.
Trying to get her to sleep in her crate. Failing.
Here's a cute pic of her all snuggled up for a nap, but it's misleading...
...because she usually sleeps like this.
Peps and her girl.
Peps and her boys.
This was the day of the election. Sometimes puppy snuggles are the best medicine for stress.
Mmm, bath soap.
Cute necklace.
I "kneed" you.
Don't leave me.
Nox came to stay with us for a weekend while her family went camping. So we had double doodles for a few days. Here they are having lunch with us at Buffalo Rose.
Here they are hiking North Table.
And here they are passed out.
Still not a fan of her crate. I call this picture: "Resignation."
She's at her poofiest after a good brushing.
Sometimes, she just can't.
And when Pepper just can't, we step up.
A week ago, she had her first grooming appointment. She's a little less poofy (for now), but just as floofy as ever. And that's how we like it.
