Jill's Choir Concert

During one of the covid lockdowns last year, Jill and I discovered YouTube videos of children's choir performances (we are particularly obsessed with the One Voice children's choir out of Utah).  So Jill decided she wanted to join the Denver Children's Choir as soon as she was vaccinated.  This Spring, she had her first concert!

Oma was in town and got to come see the show.

Our girl is the middle blue shirt in the middle row.

Joining together with the older choir groups.

Nothing sweeter than the sound of children's voices.

That said, it was a long day for Jill.  I had to drop her off at 11am for final pre-show rehearsal, and the show didn't start until 3:30.  By the time the show was almost over (around 5:30), she was pretty much over it. In this video, you can see her covering her eyes to look for us in the crowd (something they were reminded repeatedly not to do during rehearsals) and, once she found us, hamming it up with her facial expressions to keep things interesting.

By the time we picked her up backstage, she had no interest in doing anything other than getting home.  She was done performing and wouldn't even stand close to us for a picture.  But hey, she put on a great show as always!
