Danny ran his first 5K! After his stellar performance at the Golden Gallup (which was a half-mile course that he won at a dead sprint), he decided he wanted to try a longer run. And he did awesome.

Are we really gonna do this?
Danny made it over a mile before slowing down to a walk -- and it was the hardest mile of the whole race because it was all uphill.
In the final stretch, he kicked it into high gear and sprinted across the finish line, leaving me behind to eat his dust!
As you may recall, I ran this race a few years ago (pre-pandemic) with a different seven-year-old. Crazy how time flies.
