We stayed home for Thanksgiving this year, and while we missed seeing our family in the Midwest, we made the most of our relaxing week together, including doing our first ever Turkey Chase race in downtown Golden!

Once again, Danny ran the whole race without walking once.
This was Chris's first race in his adult life!
Danny and Jill both caught the turkey (i.e., guy running around in a turkey costume), grabbed a feather, and got to trade it in for a prize after the race.

Chris and I took the pup for a hike while the oven warmed up.
And then we gave thanks before eating our favorite foods, in our favorite place, with our favorite people in the world. We are so grateful for these Golden years together!
