This is Aaron's last birthday before he becomes a (gulp) teenager. Seriously, what happened??
His birthday party was a D&D campaign at the Golden Game Guild, his favorite place on earth. He and his buddies had so much fun creating characters and executing the campaign. Their dungeon master even arranged for them to "discover" birthday cupcakes along the way!

The boys had so much fun, they didn't want it to end. So I found myself driving a car full of middle schoolers around town so they could all pick up their gaming devices from their respective homes and bring them to our house to keep the party going.
I guess this is how middle-schoolers bond.

Per usual, we also had a family celebration on Aaron's actual birthday. We went to his favorite restaurant, El Dorado, and then came home for cake, presents, and birthday wishes.
