They say the secret to healthy aging is community. So really, we're not doing all of these kid-free outings and trips for our own sakes. We're doing it so we will be around long enough to help with the grandchildren, and to make sure our own kids are alright when they're grown. It's a sacrifice we're willing to make...
Nuggets Suite - A bunch of us got together at a charity event and (over)bid on a suite at the Nuggets game. Hey, it's for a good cause, right?
Palm Springs - Some of the moms got away for a long weekend in Palm Springs! We rented an adorable mid-century modern house with a pool, took a historical bike tour through the town (with our surprisingly boring tour guide, Bob), and checked out Joshua Tree National Park. I also attended my first drag show (to mixed reviews).

Boulder - Another moms' weekend, this time much closer in Boulder. We shopped, we hiked, we ate, and we bonded.
Western on Washington - Our annual fundraiser for Mitchell Elementary is always a good time.
Nashville - To celebrate our friend Renee making it through some tough times, we spent a weekend in Nashville (my first time there!). Highlights included bedazzling our own hats, drinks with Dolly, a drag tour of the city, Tootsies, karaoke at Critters, and running into Jim Gaffigan at a restaurant right after having seen him onstage!
Law School Girls Reunion - Last but not least, I hosted a Colorado reunion for my group of friends from law school. Many of us hadn't seen each other since before the pandemic. There's something very special (and important) about maintaining relationships with people who knew you at a particular time of your life - before a husbands, kids, and careers. In a way, we grew up together!
Arkansas - Oh, and Chris had some fun too. He went on a mountain biking trip to Bentonville, Arkansas, which is apparently the mountain biking capital of the world. Who knew?
