Somehow, Chris and I managed to create two theater kids. We have no idea where they got their love of being onstage, but Aaron and Jill have both caught the bug. They lit up the stage in this year's musical theater production of Frozen Jr. (at their middle school) and the Nutcracker dance show (at Virtuosity).
Frozen Jr.
Aaron got his chance to shine in Frozen Jr. as Kristoff, one of the lead roles! And while Jill was restricted to the chorus as a 6th grader, she still dazzled.
Getting in costume and in character.
He may have been somewhat typecast...
...but he was also the best man for the job. Listen to that sweet voice!
Look at that smile.
Jill got a small speaking part too, and a chance to share the stage with her big bro.
I'd say he's more of a superstar than a fixer-upper.
Post-show cast poses.
Afterglow.
Nutcracker
After Frozen, it was time for the Nutcracker. And this time, it was Jill's turn to shine. She was in at least five different dance numbers (it may have been six, I'm not sure) with multiple costume changes and routines. The only thing that never changed was her smile.
