Well, life has been "active" to say the least since we brought our Jilly Bean home from the hospital. Our days have been very full and rest has been a luxury. Thankfully, Chris was able to stay home for the first two weeks to help out. Since Jill is hungry about every 2 hours, I have been spending a lot of time feeding her, while Daddy and Aaron get in some father-son bonding. And despite the many demands of having two little ones under two years old, we still managed to find some time to accomplish a few things.
First of all, Jill's umbilical cord fell off within a few days of coming home from the hospital (over achiever!). So she had her first sink bath on May 31. She really needed it too because her hair is so soft and fuzzy that I can't stop touching it and kissing it and it was getting pretty greasy. Sorry Jilly girl!
Second, we took Aaron to get his second "first haircut" -- i.e., his first haircut in a professional salon. He got to sit in a police car and watch Elmo (his new obsession) on TV. He did great! Not a single tear!

Speaking of Aaron, he has generally been a champ about the change in our family dynamic, but it has definitely been an adjustment for him. Seeing him find ways to entertain himself now that he doesn't get 100% of our attention is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. He is such a great kid!
That's not to say there weren't some bumps along the road...
When you have two kiddos crying at the same time, sometimes there's only one solution:
Ok, just kidding. Aaron's bottle was empty. But he did find other ways to vent his frustration. He took a few swipes at us in the beginning. He tried to kick Chris in the face and he yanked my hair a couple of times. But he didn't really mean it. And now that a couple of weeks have passed, he is really settling into his big brother role.
He loves his little sister, and we just know they are going to be the best of friends.
And although life is busier now, there is always plenty of love to go around. Even the cat gets a spot on Daddy's lap!
