Jillian Rose

At 4:10 am on May 26, 2013, we welcomed beautiful Jillian Rose into our family.  The process started before dinner the night before with my water breaking quite dramatically. Thankfully, we were at home and not someplace more public, like the El or the office, so I was able to run to the tub!  Then it was off to the hospital to meet our long-awaited baby!

It's a girl!!!

Jillian was eager to join us -- it only took 5 minutes of pushing.

20.5 inches of perfection.

We were shocked when our little girl weighed in at 8 lbs 7 oz.  She is petite by Broyles/Vander Griend standards!

My family came to the hospital the night of the birth, while Chris's parents were kind enough to drive in and stay with Aaron at the house.

Uncle Jamie and Aunt Kathie were in town for a wedding so they got to stop by and meet Jill too.

Aaron came in to the hospital the next day to meet his baby sister.

He is going to be such a good big brother!
