Well, it sure was a weird year. But despite all the challenges along the way, we made it! To be sure, we had it better than most. There were a few pockets here and there where school shut down for a few weeks at a time. And we also had to deal with at least two "quarantine letters" (where one kid had to switch to remote learning for a week because someone in their "cohort" tested positive). But for the balance of the year, learning was in-person. And last week was the last day of (hopefully) the last year of pandemic learning.
Last day of school!
I have to spotlight this sweetie pie's last-day-of school outfit: a Harry Potter dress (and socks!) to match her magical smile.
She also made her teacher a special gift.
After school, they were all smiles and ready to head to the end-of-the-year neighborhood block party. And what a party it was! A full buffet table of food, a keg, tons of candy, sunshine, a slip'n'slide...what better way to kick off summer?!
You're looking at a first, third, and fourth grader!!
Walking over to the party with the Spichigers.
Besties.
A few snapshots from the block party. Let the summertime fun begin!
