Birthday Candles

Last Saturday was Daddy's birthday!  Aaron helped me bake a cake and insisted that it had to have blue frosting since blue is Dad's favorite color.

Aaron and Jill helped Daddy blow out the candles (while Danny spaced out in the background) and then both older kids wanted to hold a candle.  But a few minutes later, Jill scrunched up her face and handed her candle back.  "I don't yike this!" she exclaimed.  Took us about a minute to realized she'd bitten off the base of the candle, chewed it, and swallowed it down.  I think we'll stick with cake from now on!
