The "A" in T&A

Get your mind out of the gutter.  I'm talking about Tonsils and Adenoids.  And while we initially thought Danny might need to have both removed to help resolve his persistent sleep disturbance issues, we were very happy to learn that he only needed his adenoids taken out. This was good news because the pain level and recovery time for adenoid removal is much less than for a tonsillectomy.

His A's were removed two days ago, and he is already back to normal and running around like nothing ever happened.  But Daddy and I were there with him at the hospital, and can attest to how brave and calm he was before surgery, and what a trooper he was afterward.  In fact, we got a lot more emotional than he did when they wheeled him out for surgery.

Holding Mommy's hand to help her be brave.

Showing off his skid socks.

Post-op, he was a little disoriented and needed some snuggles.

Sleeping off the anesthesia.  Love those sweet cheeks.

Awake and enjoying his first adenoid-free popsicle.

So proud of our boy.  And hopeful that he can finally get a good night's rest now that his As are not blocking 75% of his airway anymore!
